Hongkong - The Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM) organised a poster exhibition cum forum on Climate Change as part of the Peoples' Assembly on Climate Change. This event was attended by various migrant organizations based in Hong Kong.
The irrefutable fact that migrant workers are twice affected with the adverse effects of climate change brings the solid ground for the migrant workers to unite and make their voices be heard in the climate change discourse.
Among the highlights of the event were the awarding of the winners of the poster making contest and the ratification of the Peoples' Protocol on Climate Change.
December 7, 2009 Morocco - On the occasion of holding the 15th session of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP15) in Copenhagen from 7 to 18 December 2009, the Forum of Alternatives Morocco (FMAS) and the Portal of the civil society Maghreb Mashreq E-Joussour in collaboration with the Forum Social Maghreb, the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH) and the Right to Water Forum in the Arab Region (RWFAR), organized an outreach and advocacy on climate change on 7 December 2009 in Rabat, Morocco.
This event is part of the international campaign of The Peoples' Movements on Climate Change to communicate people's support to the Peoples' Protocol on Climate Change which will be presented in Copenhagen on December 9, 2009.
December 9, 2009 Manila, Philippines - As 15th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 15) enters its third day, cause-oriented groups and progressive educators in the Philippines hit the US and other developed countries for refusing to take responsibility for global warming.
Led by the Educators for Development (EfD), the groups held the Peoples' Assembly on Climate Change: ‘Speakout Against Climate Change', in Quezon City, a cultural forum to express their vigilance on the ongoing climate talks in Copenhagen. The groups are urging the 192-country UN delegation to sign a landmark deal that would require developed countries to significantly reduce GHG emissions and exact payments for their massive GHG emissions that led to the increasingly rapid warming of earth's atmosphere.

East Java, Indonesia - The International NGO Forum on Indonesian Development (INFID)People Assembly led the Peoples' Assembly on Climate Change on 8-10 December, 2009 in Desa (village) Pasru Jambe, Lumajang-East Java-Indonesia. More than 200 peasant, indigenous people and fisherman leader from 6 municipals (Banyuwangi, Jember, Bondowoso, Situbondo, Lumajang and Probolinggo) took part to this event to demonstrate their unity in upholding a people-centred policy framework on the issue of climate change.
